About

The history and conception of the Mister HBCU Kings’ Leadership Conference and Competition started in 2004, with a conversation on the campus of Lincoln University of Missouri.

After laying a firm foundation, the first Mister HBCU Kings’ Leadership Conference and Competition was held on the campus of Lincoln University of Missouri in February 2005

History

The Mister HBCU Kings’ Leadership Conference and Competition was founded by Mrs. Benecia Spencer Williams, Lincoln University’s former Vice President for Advancement.

Under her leadership, the organization grew and the number of institutions participating increased tremendously.

In 2015, Dr. Jerome Offord, Jr. assumed the lead role in coordinating the event and in 2016, the Mister HBCU Kings’ Leadership Conference and Competition was incorporated under the laws of the State of Missouri and is a federally recognized 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization.

Dr. Jerome Offord, Jr. has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since January 2016.
